I currently serve as the Chair of Publicity and PR for the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society in the 2023-2024 term. Alongside this role, I take on the responsibilities of being the social media lead for the Inspire, Develop, Empower, and Advance (IDEA) program. My journey with GRSS began as the host of the society's podcast, "Down to Earth: A Podcast for Geoscientists by Geoscientist," which IDEA spearheaded. Furthermore, I actively contribute to the Ad Hoc Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, Belonging (DEIAB) Committee, emphasizing my commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment within the society.

In my everyday responsibilities, I am a doctoral student at the Technical University of Munich, specializing in the modeling of Earth surface dynamics, prediction, and anomaly detection. Supported by a remarkable scholarship from the university's International Graduate School for Science and Engineering (IGSSE), my project involves a collaborative effort with the Statistics Section of Imperial College London. The primary goal is to employ statistical models that have either rarely or never been applied to remote sensing, contributing to the enhancement of existing models and datasets.

Within my position at GRSS, my role is to amplify the impact of the society, especially its chapters, groups and initiatives. My focus is on ensuring that our endeavors not only resonate within our membership but also extend their impact to the wider community. As a member of the Information Resources team, I engage in collaborative efforts and coordination with various team members, including those involved in social media, newsletter, website management, booth coordination, and swag production. Together, we formulate innovative strategies and harness communication approaches to effectively showcase the transformative capabilities inherent in the initiatives spearheaded by our society.
